Ljubljana in Spring

One of the smallest European capitols with its bursting economy, reach culture and friendly environment is still not spoilt by mass tourism and is very attractive to discover. Though it's smallness, Ljubljana has all characteristics of a metropolis, from numerous museums and theatres, to many concerts of all sorts and kinds. As well as a city of culture, is Ljubljana a city of students. In fact, there are more than 50.000 students at the University of Ljubljana, so don't be surprised when every second person in the city centre you run into is a student hanging around on the banks of Ljubljanica river that runs through the city. The banks and the squares in the centre are not only attractive to students but to everybody. In spring the restaurants and the bars move outdoors offering a cozy place to sit down for a coffee in the morning or a beer in the evening enjoying magnificent view on the river as well as the medieval castle on a hill above the city.
