1. MOST IMPORTANT
Badges and wristbands: Without them you are not allowed to enter the gym, the plenaries, parties, neither can you get food.
Being on time: In case you miss our buses, you need to take care of the transport by yourself (you can use a taxi or a local bus). The timetables are fixed and buses cannot and will not wait.
2. THE GYM – Lodging place
The building is under ALARM and there are cameras all around the place. There are several emergency doors under alarm which can be used only in the case of EMERGENCY: In case you set off the alarm (accidentally or incidentally) you are going to be charged for the intervention.
The consumption of alcohol in the gym or around it is strictly forbidden.
Smoking in the gym is not allowed.
In the gym and around it you should keep your voice down.
Bottles are not allowed in the gym, except for the plastic ones, and they can contain non-alcoholic drinks only.
The third floor of the gym is off limits – you are not allowed to enter it.
The house-rules say the shoes need to be taken off in case of rain (therefore you should bring slippers with you).
May 4th: 'check-out' is until 9.00 in the morning.
3. FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES - Plenaries
Be on time: We ask you to come to the plenaries, workshops and other sessions on time.
All meals are going to be delivered at the Faculty of Social Sciences – there are no meals at the logging place!
There are not enough seats for everybody to have a meal at the same time. We kindly ask you for patience and understanding when waiting for your turn.
The faculty and the gym are new buildings - NOTE that in case you cause any kind of damage you will be financially and criminally liable (the costs and penalties are going to be high). Both buildings are, inside and outside, supervised by cameras.
4. BUSES
We will provide bus transportation during the event. The number and the timetable are fixed. We are going to inform you about all bus departures in time and we ask for your cooperation and patience. As already stated, in case you miss the bus, AEGEE-Ljubljana is not responsible for finding your way back to the gym or other facilities.
It is worth being among the first ones on the bus – the prize is a seat!
5. A special note
You will be allowed to attend the opening ceremony and the first party (on April 30th) ONLY IF you have already registered.
Those of you who are going to be late to catch our buses for the opening ceremony, can take regular buses and we are going to accompany you (this bus is to be paid by the participants, you need a token which costs 0,80 € or you can pay directly on the bus which is slightly more expensive 1,00 €). NOTE: will not accompany each one individually but a larger group. If you decide not to wait, you will have to find the way on your own.
On day 1 (May 1st 2008) we are not returning to the gym after the plenaries – we will go directly to the party. Therefore, you should take things you need for the party with you in the morning.
6. SOME GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION
Smoking is forbidden in all closed public places.
Water from the tap is drinkable.
There are high penalties for those who disturb public peace and order (especially if caught drunk).
Spring Agora Ljubljana 2008 takes place during May holidays and at a weekend. Therefore, most shops, banks etc. are CLOSED. Pay attention that you get euros in time and bring all the necessary things needed for your stay.
Luggage: Please do not bring laptops and/or any other valuables, unless this is REALLY urgent. Why? Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with a locker, which means you need to take care of your valuables yourselves.
And the most important thing: the organizers and the rules are here for your pleasant stay in Ljubljana!
